A LUXURY BLACK-TIE CELEBRATION AT ST CHARLES HALL
St Charles Hall is one of those rare venues that feels like a hidden palace on the shores of Lake Lucerne. For this American couple, it was the perfect setting for their destination wedding in Switzerland. They envisioned a black-tie celebration that was elegant yet full of life.
The day began with a relaxed atmosphere. Unlike many rushed wedding mornings, we had plenty of time to work slowly during the getting ready process. This allowed us to capture the anticipation and details with a true editorial feel. The bride looked stunning in her Jenny Yoo dress, and the unhurried pace meant every portrait was polished to perfection.
The weather in Switzerland can be unpredictable, but this venue handles it beautifully. Due to a chance of rain, the couple decided to hold the ceremony inside. This is where St Charles Hall truly shines. The historic interiors provided a majestic backdrop that felt intimate and grand all at once.
After the vows, we moved outdoors for the cocktail hour. The terrace came alive with the sounds of Freddy Sax, creating a sophisticated European vibe. Before the reception began, we scheduled a dedicated portrait session. This gave the couple a moment of quiet connection and allowed us to capture the stunning architecture of the villa.
ELEGANCE INDOORS AND OUT
The reception kicked off with high energy. The couple made a spectacular entrance into the dinner hall that immediately set the tone for the night. Guests were treated to an incredible meal by Kauer Catering amidst beautiful florals by Tina Mara.
Once dinner concluded, the atmosphere shifted from elegant to electric. The party got crazy in the best way possible. It was a true American celebration with a packed dance floor and non-stop fun thanks to DJ Spino. It was the perfect end to a two-day Swiss adventure.
